My name is Heather Howe (she/her). I'm a Registered Social Worker, therapist, clinical supervisor, and trainer who specializes in working with survivors of sexual assault/abuse, intimate partner violence, family violence, and all forms of violence against women. Most of my work has been with women, but I’ve worked with survivors of all genders, aged 16+.
I work with the Trauma Resolution Centre in Peterborough providing therapy to survivors. I also work as a Clinical Supervisor in a small, community-based sexual assault centre.
I provide 1:1 and group clinical consultation to therapists. I also provide training and workshops on topics related to risk assessment, safety planning, feminist trauma-informed therapy, abuse dynamics, and more.
I am a certified Wen-Do Women's Self-Defence Instructor. I teach feminist, trauma-informed women’s self-defence workshops to women and girls (trans-inclusive) aged 10+. Workshops range from 1 - 15 hours.
